Singer-songwriter and Berklee graduate Vikram Bam, celebrated for his innovative fusion of Indian and Western musical styles, has released his latest single, “Make A Fool.” now available on all major streaming platforms.
The track showcases Vikram’s signature blend of pop, cinematic production, and genre-defying influences, inviting listeners into an expressive new soundscape.
Rooted in Vikram’s personal journey, “Make A Fool” reflects a lifelong passion for music and storytelling, a dedication that began in his early years growing up in a musical family. Vikram started his training in classical piano and Indian vocals at age eight and went on to master multiple instruments, including the guitar, before being accepted into Berklee College of Music, where he honed his craft in songwriting and production.
After graduation, his work with various composers and Bollywood soundtracks like The Kashmir Files and The Vaccine War has helped shape his genre-crossing approach, setting him apart in today’s music scene.
“Make A Fool” joins a compelling lineup of Vikram’s original songs, each highlighting a different aspect of his musicality. Songs like “Bluebird” and “Door Chala” reveal his singer-songwriter roots, while tracks like “Baatein” underscore his knack for intricate arrangements and genre-bending experimentation.
Vikram’s music remains true to his core philosophy of defying the limitations of any single genre, blending Indian classical and Bollywood elements with Western rock and cinematic flair. With an underlying theme linked to the wondrous painting ‘Narcissus’ by Carivagio, the music video shines through as a comment on vanity and self-obsession, much to the detriment of true, reciprocal love.
